King Calenhad Theirin was the legendary founder of the Theirin dynasty who united the warring tribes of Ferelden to defeat the Orlesian occupation.

History

Calenhad Theirin rose to prominence during the Orlesian occupation of Ferelden, rallying the disparate barbarian tribes under a single banner. Through his military prowess and strategic alliances, he successfully drove the occupying forces from the land, culminating in his coronation as the first King of a unified Ferelden. He is remembered as a hero of the realm, and his lineage remains central to the political identity of the nation.

Legacy

As the progenitor of the Theirin bloodline, Calenhad established the monarchy that would eventually produce rulers such as Alistair Theirin. His life is heavily mythologised in Fereldan culture, with many traditions and titles tracing their origins back to his reign.
