Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about ordering, formats, and how this site works.

Do I buy from this site directly?
No. Every Buy on Amazon button takes you to the live product listing on Amazon, and your order is placed, fulfilled, and supported by Amazon. We don't handle payments, shipping, or returns at any point.
Why don't you show prices?
Amazon prices change frequently — sometimes several times a day. Showing a price that's out of date would be misleading (and against Amazon Associates terms). Clicking through always shows you the current live price and stock.
What's the difference between DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD?
DVD is standard definition (480p), the most affordable and widely compatible. Blu-ray is full HD (1080p) with better colour, sharper picture, and usually more bonus features. 4K UHD adds higher resolution (2160p) plus HDR for richer contrast — best if you have a 4K TV. Most classic TV series we list are DVD or Blu-ray; films are increasingly available on 4K UHD.
What's a region code? Will this disc play on my player?
DVDs are split into regions (Region 1 = US/Canada, Region 2 = UK/Europe/Japan, etc.). Blu-rays use simpler regions (A = Americas/East Asia, B = Europe/Africa/Australia, C = China/Russia/South Asia). 4K UHD discs are region-free. We list the region on each product page. If you're buying outside your home region, check that your player supports it before ordering — most don't by default.
Are these new or used?
The Amazon listings we link to default to new copies sold by Amazon or major retailers. Amazon usually also offers used and "renewed" options on the same page — those are fulfilled by third-party sellers and the condition varies. We have no control over which seller you choose.
Why physical media when streaming exists?
Three reasons. First, ownership: streaming libraries change every month and titles can vanish; a disc you own keeps playing forever. Second, picture quality: a Blu-ray is usually a higher-bitrate stream than what services compress for streaming. Third, completeness: streaming versions sometimes edit episodes, swap soundtracks for rights reasons, or skip episodes entirely; the box set on your shelf is the full thing.
How do I return a disc that's damaged or wrong?
Amazon handles returns directly — start a return from your Amazon orders page within the return window. The 30-day Amazon return policy applies to most items. We don't touch the transaction, so we can't accept returns or refund payments.
Do you accept submissions or recommendations?
Yes — if there's a classic series or film we haven't listed, send us a message via our contact page. We try to add anything that fits the editorial focus (action, sci-fi, and crime TV from the 70s through 90s; cult films from the same era).
How do you make money?
We're part of the Amazon Associates programme. When you click a Buy on Amazon link and complete a purchase, Amazon pays us a small commission on that order. You pay exactly the same price you would by visiting Amazon directly. There's no markup, no upcharge, and no premium tier on this site.
Is your product information always up to date?
Stock and editions on Amazon change daily. The title, description, image, and listed format on our product pages are accurate at the time of writing, but availability and pricing are only ever guaranteed on Amazon's side. Always confirm the edition and current price on the Amazon page before buying.
