Michael Coldsmith-Briggs III
Michael Coldsmith-Briggs III, often referred to as Archangel, is the high-ranking intelligence official who serves as the primary liaison between the Firm and the crew of Airwolf.
Role and Background
Michael Coldsmith-Briggs III, known by the codename Archangel, is a senior operative within the intelligence agency known as the Firm. He is responsible for brokering the original agreement that allowed Stringfellow Hawke to fly the prototype supersonic helicopter in exchange for the agency's assistance in locating Hawke's missing brother, St. John Hawke.
Relationship with the Airwolf Crew
Archangel maintains a complex and often strained professional relationship with Stringfellow Hawke and Dominic Santini. While he frequently provides the team with mission parameters and logistical support, his loyalty to the Firm often conflicts with the personal safety of the pilots. Following the departure of his assistant Marella, he continues to act as the primary conduit for the missions undertaken by the crew, which eventually includes Caitlin O'Shannessy.
