Dr. Charles Henry Moffet
Dr. Charles Henry Moffet was the brilliant but sociopathic aeronautical engineer who designed the high-tech attack helicopter known as Airwolf.
Background
Dr. Charles Henry Moffet was a genius engineer employed by the Firm to develop the prototype combat helicopter codenamed Airwolf. Despite his immense technical intellect, Moffet was a sadistic individual who harboured deep resentment toward his superiors and the government. He viewed his creation not merely as a weapon, but as a masterpiece that he alone was entitled to control.
Theft and Betrayal
During the initial testing phase, Moffet betrayed the Firm by stealing Airwolf and defecting to the Middle East, intending to sell the aircraft to the highest bidder. His actions forced the Firm to recruit Stringfellow Hawke to recover the helicopter. During the retrieval mission, Moffet was killed when the weapon systems he designed were turned against him, resulting in the destruction of his own aircraft. His legacy persisted through the complex technology he left behind, which continued to be a central element of the series.
