Archangel
Archangel is the codename for the deputy director of the Firm, the clandestine intelligence agency that originally developed the Airwolf helicopter.
Archangel, whose real name is Michael Coldsmith-Briggs III, serves as the primary liaison between the United States intelligence community and Stringfellow Hawke. Operating under the umbrella of the Firm, he is responsible for overseeing the recovery of the prototype supersonic helicopter after it was stolen by its creator, Dr. Moffet. Despite his official role, he frequently assists Hawke and Dominic Santini in covert operations that fall outside the purview of standard government protocols.
Role and Affiliations
- Deputy Director of the Firm
- Liaison to the Airwolf crew
- Strategic intelligence coordinator
Throughout the series, Archangel maintains a complex and often strained relationship with Hawke. While he represents the organisation that seeks to reclaim the aircraft, he recognises that Hawke is the only pilot capable of effectively utilising the machine for national security interests. His distinctive appearance, characterised by white suits and a cane following an injury, makes him a recognisable figure within the clandestine world of the Firm.
