Wilton Knight

Wilton Knight was the wealthy benefactor and mastermind behind Knight Industries, a private company dedicated to technological innovation. Recognising the need for a new approach to crime-fighting, he established the Foundation for Law and Government, an organisation designed to operate outside the constraints of traditional bureaucracy. Following his near-fatal encounter with a criminal, he dedicated his final days to transforming Michael Knight into the operative who would lead his crusade for justice.

Legacy

Before his passing, Wilton Knight oversaw the development of KITT, an artificially intelligent automobile designed to protect its driver and uphold the law. He entrusted the management of his foundation to his loyal associate Devon Miles, who continued to oversee the operations of the Knight Industries team, including technicians like Bonnie Barstow and April Curtis. His vision remains the foundation upon which all subsequent missions of the organisation are built.
