The Duke family
The Duke family is a prominent clan residing on a farm in Hazzard County, known for their strong moral compass and frequent run-ins with the corrupt local administration.
The Duke family consists primarily of cousins Bo and Luke, their cousin Daisy, and their wise patriarch Uncle Jesse. They live on the Duke farm, which has been in their family for generations and is often the site of community gatherings or refuge for those in need. The family is well-regarded by most of the local populace for their honesty and willingness to help others in the face of injustice.
Conflict with Authority
The Dukes are constant thorns in the side of Commissioner Boss Hogg and Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane. Because the family refuses to engage in the corrupt schemes orchestrated by Hogg, they are frequently targeted by trumped-up charges and bureaucratic harassment. Their primary mode of transport is the General Lee, a modified 1969 Dodge Charger that allows them to evade the Hazzard County police force during their many escapades.
