Bo Duke
Bo Duke is a central protagonist of The Dukes of Hazzard, known for his driving skills and his role as one of the cousins living on the Duke family farm.
Bo Duke is the blonde-haired cousin of Luke Duke and Daisy Duke, residing on the family farm in Hazzard County with their Uncle Jesse. Alongside Luke, he frequently finds himself in conflict with the corrupt Commissioner Boss Hogg and Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane while attempting to help local citizens or clear the family name.
Driving and The General Lee
Bo is primarily recognised for his expertise behind the wheel of the General Lee, a modified 1969 Dodge Charger. He serves as the primary driver during the duo's high-speed pursuits, often performing daring jumps and evasive manoeuvres to escape the Hazzard County police cruisers. His driving style is characterised by a reckless but highly skilled approach to navigating the rural roads of Georgia.
Departure and Return
During the show's fifth season, Bo and Luke briefly left Hazzard County to pursue careers in professional stock car racing. During this period, they were replaced by their cousins Coy and Vance Duke. Bo eventually returned to the farm alongside Luke, resuming his role as a defender of the county against the schemes of Boss Hogg.
