The Shredder is the primary antagonist of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise and the ruthless leader of the Foot Clan.
The Shredder, born Oroku Saki, is a master of ninjutsu and the arch-nemesis of Splinter and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Recognised by his signature bladed armour and metal mask, he commands the Foot Clan, a formidable organisation of ninjas that serves as the primary criminal threat in New York City. His pursuit of power often leads him into conflict with the turtles, as he seeks to eliminate them to secure his control over the city.
Alliances and Rivalries
Throughout his history, the Shredder has frequently collaborated with the interdimensional warlord Krang to further his schemes, often utilising advanced technology from Dimension X. Despite his martial prowess, he is consistently thwarted by the combined efforts of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo. His long-standing feud with Splinter stems from their shared past, making him a central figure in the personal and physical struggles of the turtle brothers and their ally April O'Neil.
