From The Taming of the Shrew wiki
Bianca
Bianca Minola is the younger, mild-mannered daughter of Baptista Minola whose courtship serves as a central subplot in William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew.
Bianca is portrayed as the idealised, obedient sister in contrast to the headstrong and sharp-tongued Katherine Minola. Because of her beauty and gentle disposition, she attracts numerous suitors, including Lucentio, Gremio, and Hortensio. Her father, Baptista, enforces a strict rule that Bianca cannot be wed until a husband is found for her older sister, which drives much of the play's initial conflict.
Courtship and Marriage
As the primary obstacle to her suitors, Bianca becomes the subject of various disguises and schemes as men attempt to gain access to her. While Petruchio focuses his efforts on the difficult task of wooing Katherine, Bianca eventually elopes with Lucentio. Her transformation from a seemingly submissive daughter to a self-assured wife provides a thematic mirror to the more complex and volatile relationship between her sister and Petruchio.
