The A-Team

Overview

The A-Team centres on a quartet of former United States Army Special Forces soldiers who were court-martialled for a crime they did not commit. After escaping from a military prison, they relocated to the Los Angeles underground, where they operate as mercenaries for hire. Their missions typically involve assisting innocent civilians against oppressive forces, all while avoiding capture by the military police.

The Team

The group is led by the master strategist John Hannibal Smith, known for his love of cigars and elaborate plans. He is joined by the smooth-talking con artist Templeton Faceman Peck, the eccentric pilot H.M. Howling Mad Murdock, and the formidable mechanic B.A. Baracus. Together, they utilise their unique skills to construct improvised weaponry and execute complex tactical schemes to overcome overwhelming odds.

The Movie

In 2010, a feature film adaptation was released, reimagining the origin of the team within a modern military context. The film follows the quartet as they attempt to clear their names after being framed for the theft of United States Treasury plates during a mission in Iraq.
